Job summary

HORIBA Semiconductor US in Reno, NV is seeking an experienced Radio Frequency Hardware Engineer to design, simulate, prototype and qualify RF data-acquisition hardware for high-speed systems used in semiconductor applications.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years in RF hardware design, proficiency with RF tools (Comsol, Cadence, Mentor, Ansys, SPICE), and hands-on RF test experience. On-site, full-time position with a strong compensation package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Master’s or PhD degree is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of RF data acquisition or RF power control hardware design experience.
• Proficiency with RF simulation tools like Comsol, Cadence, Mentor, Ansys, SPICE.
• Experience with RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators).
• Familiarity with RF/high-speed PCB layout techniques (Mentor/Cadence).

Responsibilities

• Design RF circuits, probes and systems for high-frequency data acquisition.
• Perform simulation and modeling of RF circuits using CAE tools.
• Prototype and validate RF hardware designs in laboratory environments.
• Collaborate with PCB designers to ensure RF layout guidelines are followed.
• Characterize RF components including amplifiers, filters and ADCs.
• Create schematics, PCB layout guidelines, test procedures, and design verification reports.
