Job summary

HORIBA Semiconductor US is seeking an experienced RF Hardware Engineer in Reno, NV to develop and qualify proprietary RF data-acquisition hardware for high-speed measurements in semiconductor processing equipment.

The role emphasizes RF circuit design, simulation, prototyping, and collaboration with PCB teams to ensure robust performance. A minimum of 5 years in RF hardware is required, with a strong emphasis on lab testing and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is required or equivalent; Master’s/PhD preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of RF data acquisition or RF power control hardware design experience.
• Proficiency with RF simulation tools (Comsol, Cadence, Ansys, SPICE).
• Hands-on RF test equipment experience (spectrum/network analyzers, signal generators).

Responsibilities

• Designs RF circuits, probes/sensors and systems for high-frequency data acquisition.
• Performs simulations and modeling of RF circuits (CAE/Multiphysics).
• Prototyping, testing, and validation of RF hardware designs in lab environments.
• Collaborates with PCB designers to ensure RF layouts meet performance goals.
• Characterizes RF components and documents schematics, test procedures and verification reports.
