Job summary

Skyworks is seeking an RF Front-End EM Design Co-Op in Irvine, CA for January–June 2027. You will work with RF, EM, RFIC, and module design engineers on 5G/6G solutions, focusing on electromagnetic modeling, simulations, and prototype development.

The role targets graduate students in RF/microwave, electromagnetics, and analog/RF IC design. You will gain hands-on experience across the full product development cycle, mentored by experienced engineers, and contribute to module integration concepts

Qualifications

• The candidate is pursuing an MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Onsite availability in Irvine, CA from January through June 2027.
• Strong background in RF/microwave design and electromagnetics.

Responsibilities

• Research and evaluate advanced RF front-end architectures and co-design approaches.
• Build and analyze 2.5D and 3D electromagnetic models of RF passive structures.
• Perform electromagnetic simulations and correlate measured data with simulations.
• Collaborate with mentors and engineering teams on prototype development.
