Job summary

Qorvo, Inc. in Apopka, FL, seeks a Filter Design Engineering Manager to lead RF filter designers in the development of BAW/SAW and other filters for wireless applications.

You will oversee multi‑chip modules and work across radar, GPS, space, and defense programs, balancing innovation with aggressive schedules. The role requires advanced electrical engineering degrees and 3+ years in acoustic filter design and design management, plus RF theory and tool familiarity (AWR Microwave Office, HFSS).

Qualifications

• PhD, master's or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or physics.
• 3+ years direct acoustic filter design experience (BAW/SAW) preferred.
• 3+ years in design management for SAW/BAW filter design.
• Strong RF/Microwave theory knowledge.
• Experience with RF design tools (AWR/HFSS) is preferred.
• Understanding of microelectronics fabrication and high-volume manufacturing.
• Proven problem-solving skills and self-driven, energetic attitude.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of RF Filter Design Engineers for new product development and sustaining engineering.
• Provide leadership to align tactical work with strategic goals.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Applications, Test, Quality, PM, and Research teams.
• Analyze data and specifications to judge feasibility of proposals.
• Track progress and manage project budgets and schedules.
• Prepare weekly status reports and technical updates.
• Mentor team members and drive skill development and design knowledge.
