Skyworks is offering a Winter/Spring co-op on the Filter Design team at the Irvine site. You will join an elite group of RF professionals working on acoustic filters (SAW/BAW) for next‑generation cellular handsets and wireless devices.

The role focuses on improving design efficiency through data-driven analysis, tool development in Python/MATLAB, and close collaboration with the filter design and IT teams. This is an on-site 6‑month assignment in Irvine.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Master's or PhD in Mechanical/Electrical/CS/Math/Physics or related field.
  • Ability to work on-site in Irvine for 6 months.
  • Experience with design, development and software implementation of complex mathematical algorithms.

Responsibilities

  • Implement data-driven solutions to analyze BAW/BAW resonators and filters with mentorship from senior engineers.
  • Design automation to improve filter design efficiency and data plots.
  • Collaborate with filter design and IT/modeling teams to implement requests in design tools and methodologies.
