Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Electronics Technician in Patterson, NY to join a growing team supporting the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of advanced RF and electronic components used in defense radar systems.

You will work closely with engineering and manufacturing to gain exposure to RF products and testing equipment, with a long-term contract‑to‑hire path and a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Technical Trade School Certificate in Electronics, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
• Associate Degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
• 1+ year of manufacturing experience.
• 1+ year of experience performing component-level troubleshooting and repair of electronic assemblies.
• Experience testing and troubleshooting electro‑mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and electronic troubleshooting on PCBs, couplers, and RF assemblies.
• Diagnose and repair analog and digital circuits at the component level.
• Identify root causes of failures and implement effective repairs.
• Verify product performance through testing and inspection activities.
• Assemble, test, and troubleshoot complex electro‑mechanical devices.
• Follow engineering drawings, schematics, and detailed work instructions.
• Support production builds while maintaining quality and performance standards.
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and CAD drawings; maintain repair records.
