Job description

LHH Recruitment Solutions has an Engineering Technician role for our client in the Melville, NY area. This direct hire role focuses on research and development of projects including updates to existing materials. This hands-on, on-site role delves into product validation, hardware development and testing. This role requires experience in testing of assemblies and sub-assemblies. Candidates must have the ability to obtain Secret Security Clearance.

This position REQUIRES proven experience in RF devices and microprocessors and must have proven experience in working with RF Test equipment: network analyzers and spectrum analyzers, preferably in a defense and/or military application.

Wage range: $30.00 - $39.00 hourly, depending upon experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform fundamental testing of electronic assemblies/sub-assemblies to determine if the specifications are met.
• Perform tests and troubleshoots equipment by setting up and using standard laboratory equipment such as network analyzers and spectrum analyzers.
• Must work from schematics, specifications, sketches, or other authorized information to determine performance requirements of equipment being tested.
• Repair, adjust, and calibrate equipment to bring it within specification requirements.
• Create and maintain accurate records of all work performed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience or 2 years associate’s degree with a minimum of 2 years prior related experience. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology highly preferred OR High School Diploma and a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience or associate’s degree with a minimum of 5 years prior related experience.
• REQUIRED - RF Devices and Microprocessor experience required.
• REQUIRED – Experience in RF Test equipment: network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, etc. required, preferably in a defense and/or military application.
