RTX’s Space and Air Sensors division in Fort Wayne, USA, seeks an Engineer to design, develop, and test RF technology and sensor systems across programs. The role covers requirements management, design oversight, production support, and IV&V activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/ Computer Engineering by start date.
• Experience with radio, comms, or radar systems design or analysis.
• Experience communicating system design and test results.
• Ability solving complex problems under moderate uncertainty.

Responsibilities

• System Development: Understand the customer’s functional/operational needs and participate in requirements decomposition, overseeing proper allocation of technical elements
• System Integration & Test: Support system integration, test, design verification, fault identification, failure resolution, and/or acceptance of production hardware.
• Provide engineering support to lab test and qualification activities, providing engineering oversight to the test, evaluation, and analysis of issues pertaining to system hardware, software, and firmware functionality and performance.
• Provide support for situations including (but not limited to) customer inquiries, field failures, product obsolescence, system enhancements, new product development, integration and transition to production.
• Evaluate and assess the performance of developmental RF systems, including signal processing subsystems, electronic warfare systems, and radar systems.
• Able to balance multiple, varying commitments, exercising discretion and with moderately low direct oversight.
