Job summary

Starkey Hearing Technologies in Eden Prairie, MN is seeking an RF Design Engineer II to contribute to wireless designs in hearing aids and accessories. You will design wireless hardware through the product development process and test to characterize RF performance.

This role requires a master’s or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with RF/optics design experience, plus strong proficiency with RF test equipment, antenna design, EM theory, and MATLAB.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with RF/Optics experience.
• Proficiency in RF hardware design concepts, antenna design, and EM theory.
• Experience with RF testing equipment and circuit/signal analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Design wireless hardware for products through the development process.
• Test and troubleshoot to characterize RF performance at unit and system levels.
• Improve product and manufacturing processes and transfer knowledge to production.
• Provide work direction to technicians.

RF Design Engineer II (Multiple Positions)

Location: Eden Prairie, MN

Overview

Contribute to the design, implementation, and optimization of wireless designs in hearing aids and hearing aid accessories.

Responsibilities

• Design wireless hardware for products through the product development process.
• Test and troubleshoot product to characterize unit and system level RF performance.
• Continuously improve product and process.
• Support transfer of products and product knowledge into manufacturing.
• Provide work direction to technicians.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related technical field plus 2 years experience with RF or Optics Design, or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related technical field plus 5 years experience with RF or Optics Design.
• Demonstrated proficiency in RF hardware design concepts, practices, and procedures; antenna design and testing; design and test methods for body‑loaded consumer electronics; electromagnetic theory; oscilloscope, signal generator, network analyzer, and spectrum analyzer; antenna and circuit simulation tools; and MATLAB.
• 5 days per week in office.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary: $130,291 per year.
