Job summary

MBDA is seeking an RF Design engineer to join our team for the research, design and testing of cutting-edge radio-frequency technology for integration into complex weapons systems. The role focuses on hands-on design and rapid prototyping where required.

The position offers hybrid working with on-site days 3–4 per week in Stevenage, potential relocation support, and a salary around £65,000 depending on experience. Suitable candidates will have strong RF design and testing skills.

Qualifications

• Proven practical RF design and testing of RF circuits across wide frequencies (30MHz–30GHz).
• Experience with harsh environments (EMC, vibration, thermal).
• Strong hands-on testing, troubleshooting and use of RF test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Design RF circuits and rapid prototypes for defence applications.
• Carry out on-site testing and design proving trials in the lab.
• Collaborate with teams to communicate results, issues and solutions.
