Job summary

Motorola Solutions in Schaumburg, IL is seeking an RF Design Engineer to design, develop and test RF circuits for next-generation infrastructure products. The role involves hands-on circuit building, simulations and close collaboration with engineers, suppliers and U.S.

factories. The ideal candidate has a strong RF design background, knowledge of ADS/Momentum, and experience with VCO/PLL/receiver topologies.

Qualifications

• Strong background in RF circuit design and wireless communication theory.
• Experience with RF amplifier design, VCO, PLL or receiver design.
• Proficient with RF simulation tools such as ADS and Momentum.
• Cadence Allegro Design Entry HDL and PCB Layout Editor experience.
• LabVIEW or Python programming is a plus.
• Ability to work autonomously and with other engineers.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Amateur Radio License is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test RF amplifiers, receivers, VCOs and PLLs.
• Develop an RF circuit for the next generation of infrastructure products (VHF–900 MHz).
• Collaborate with engineers, suppliers, and factories in Mexico or Elgin, IL.
• Debug and troubleshoot RF circuits during development.
