Job summary

Motorola Solutions' Silvus Technologies RF Engineering team in Rancho Bernardo, CA is seeking an RF Design Engineer to design antenna-to-baseband RF subsystems, capture schematics, lay out PCBs, and verify performance and EMI compliance. This is a 100% onsite position.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Electrical Engineering with 2+ years of multi-GHz RF hardware development, experience with RF layout, debugging, and tools such as AWR Microwave Office or Altium; a Master’s degree is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required.
• At least 2 years of multi-GHz RF hardware development experience.
• Proficient in RF board layout, fabrication, and packaging.
• Hands-on EMI, harmonics, spurious, and stability troubleshooting.
• Experience with RF simulation tools such as AWR Microwave Office or Altium.
• U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident) due to federal contract.
• Background check and drug-test clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Design antenna-to-baseband RF subsystems using discrete components or RFICs.
• Capture schematics and lay out PCBs, ensuring robust RF performance and EMI compliance.
• Characterize, tune, and troubleshoot RF performance including testing.
• Identify and resolve production-yield RF issues.
• Improve designs for manufacturability and overall system reliability.
