Job summary

Voyager Technologies in Pittsburgh is seeking an RF Communications Engineer to establish RF subsystems requirements, mature designs, test components, and ensure system compatibility. You will develop link budgets and assess risk while collaborating with subsystems; the role reports to the Electronic Systems Manager and is hybrid based in Pittsburgh, PA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Electrical Engineering with RF focus and 3 years of comms experience.
• Experience operating RF lab equipment such as spectrum analyzers, VNAs and oscilloscopes.
• Knowledge of RF concepts including transmission line theory and link budgets.
• Knowledge of basic antenna theory and PCB design.

Responsibilities

• Develop RF communications systems through design, development, and testing.
• Apply full life‑cycle systems development with requirement traceability.
• Perform link budget analysis for spacecraft in earth orbit, cislunar and lunar regions.
• Participate in design reviews (PDR, CDR) and supplier discussions.
