Job summary

Voyager Technologies, based in Pittsburgh, seeks an RF Communications Engineer for Voyager Lunar Systems to establish RF subsystems requirements, mature designs, test and analyze performance, and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role reports to the Electronic Systems Manager and is hybrid in Pittsburgh, PA. Requirements include a degree in Aerospace or Electrical Engineering with RF focus plus relevant experience in comms systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Aerospace or Electrical Engineering with RF Focus.
• 3 years of experience in comms systems development (or 1 year with Master’s).
• Experience operating RF lab equipment (Spectrum Analyzer, VNA, Oscilloscopes).
• Knowledge of transmission line theory, S parameters, link budgets, modulation, noise analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop RF communications systems through design, development, simulation, testing and operations.
• Apply full life-cycle systems development including requirements traceability.
• Perform link budget analysis for spacecraft across earth orbit, cislunar, and lunar regions.
• Support design reviews (PDR, CDR) and participate with RF hardware suppliers and vendors.
