Job summary

Waterstone Human capital is recruiting for a Manufacturing Test Engineer to join a brand-new electronics production site in the Salt Lake City area. You will own automated test systems, bridging HQ engineering and local manufacturing, and drive test coverage and reliability across wireless systems.

The role emphasizes on-site execution, collaboration with RF and systems teams, and continuous improvement of test stations, with frequent travel for onboarding and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of test engineering experience in electronics manufacturing.
• Experience operating in ISO 9001 environments.
• Strong software development skills in Python, C/C++ or related languages.
• Experience developing for Windows, Linux, macOS, Android, or bare metal.
• Experience with wireless or networking systems and electronics manufacturing.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Ability to work 100% on-site and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement comprehensive test plans for wireless system features.
• Create and maintain logging and log analysis tools for test assets.
• Own production test station design, maintenance, and upgrades.
• Collaborate with RF and systems engineers to set production tests and thresholds.
• Partner with engineering and quality teams to validate testing approaches for production rollout.
• Work with software teams to enhance production test systems for new features.
• Perform advanced failure analysis to identify design-related root causes.
• Document test procedures, configurations, and analysis findings for production and engineering teams.
