Job summary

ProAmpac in Wisconsin is hiring a Rewind Operator to support our flexible packaging production. You will read job specifications, coordinate with shifts, and ensure quality and safety standards are met while maintaining efficient operation on rewinding equipment.

Ideal candidates bring a high school diploma or GED, basic mechanical and math skills, and a team-focused attitude. The role includes day-to-day machine maintenance and occasional forklift use.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous rewinding equipment experience is a plus.
• Basic mechanical and math skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a team-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with colleagues to ensure a safe team environment.
• Make process decisions and ensure product quality meets audit specifications.
• Read specifications and schedules to prepare for upcoming jobs.
• Perform machine maintenance.
• Occasionally use forklift/roll clamp to transport product.
• Palletize rolls and wrap on stretch wrapper for shipping.
• Tie bales on trim balers and broke balers.
• Set up core cutter and cut cores.
• Set up next crew and communicate at shift changes.

Your Role: Rewind Operator

• Effectively communicates with employees from your own departments to ensure a team environment.
• Makes process decisions and ensures product quality conforms with quality audit specifications.
• Reads specifications and schedules to prepare for upcoming jobs.
• Machine maintenance.
• May occasionally use forklift/roll clamp to transport product.
• Palletizes rolls and wraps on stretch wrapper to prepare for shipping.
• Ties bales on trim balers and broke balers.
• Sets up core cutter and cuts cores.
• Sets next crew up for success and effectively and efficiently communicates at shift change to Operators and Supervisors.

What You Bring

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Previous experience with rewinding equipment a plus
• Basic mechanical and math skills
• Strong attention to detail and a team-focused attitude
