Job summary

ProAmpac is seeking a Rewind Operator to support our production lines in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment. The role involves operating rewinding equipment, ensuring product quality, and coordinating with other departments to prepare for upcoming jobs.

Responsibilities include reading specifications, performing machine maintenance, and assisting with material handling such as forklift operations when needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience with rewinding equipment a plus.
• Basic mechanical and math skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a team-focused attitude.

• Communicate with employees from your own departments to ensure a team environment.
• Make process decisions and ensure product quality conforms with quality audit specifications.
• Read specifications and schedules to prepare for upcoming jobs.
• Machine maintenance.
• May occasionally use forklift/roll clamp to transport product.
• Palletizes rolls and wraps on stretch wrapper to prepare for shipping.
• Ties bales on trim balers and broke balers.
• Sets up core cutter and cuts cores.
• Sets next crew up for success and effectively communicates at shift change to Operators and Supervisors.
