Job summary

ProAmpac is seeking a Rewind Operator at our Wisconsin facility to join a 2-2-3 rotating 12-hour shift. You will read specifications, run rewind lines, perform basic machine setup, and ensure product quality meets audit specs.

The role requires communication across departments, routine maintenance, occasional forklift operations, palletizing for shipping, and setting up the core cutter for the next job. We offer a competitive benefits package and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience with rewinding equipment is a plus.
• Basic mechanical and math skills required.
• Strong attention to detail and a team-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with employees from your own departments to ensure a team environment.
• Read specifications and schedules to prepare for upcoming jobs.
• Perform machine maintenance and basic setup of rewind lines.
• Occasionally operate forklift/roll clamp for transporting product.
• Palletize rolls and wrap on stretch wrapper for shipping.
• Tie bales on trim/broke balers and set up core cutter.
• Set up for next shift and communicate effectively at handoffs.

Your Role: Rewind Operator

• Effectively communicates with employees from your own departments to ensure a team environment.
• Makes process decisions and ensures product quality conforms with quality audit specifications.
• Reads specifications and schedules to prepare for upcoming jobs.
• Machine maintenance.
• May occasionally use forklift/roll clamp to transport product.
• Palletizes rolls and wraps on stretch wrapper to prepare for shipping.
• Ties bales on trim balers and broke balers.
• Sets up core cutter and cuts cores.
• Sets next crew up for success and effectively and efficiently communicates at shift change to Operators and Supervisors.

What You Bring

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Previous experience with rewinding equipment a plus
• Basic mechanical and math skills
