Job summary

Himalayan Ridge Engineering is seeking a skilled Structural Designer/Drafter with hands-on experience in Revit Structure to prepare structural designs and drawings. The candidate will guide the team to ensure successful execution of projects and maintain drafting standards.

Minimum 3 years of direct industry experience with Revit Structure is required, along with knowledge of NBC/IBC and constructability. This role offers collaboration with North American clients and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on structural drafting using Revit Structure.
• Experience with US/international projects preferred.
• Solid understanding of structural engineering concepts (load paths, framing, constructability).
• Proficient in Revit families creation, worksets, views, filters, and templates.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and QA/QC processes.
• Effective written and verbal communication for coordination with teams and clients.
• Experience preparing construction documents: plans, sections, elevations, details, schedules, legends.
• Ability to develop 3D structural models (concrete, steel, timber) from design inputs/markups.
• Knowledge of NBC, IBC, AISC, ASCE, ACI.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop Revit-based structural models and drawings.
• Independently handle drafting tasks with minimal supervision.
• Coordinate with structural engineers and drafting team to ensure design intent.
• Create, review, and maintain Revit templates, families, and drafting standards.
• Perform QA/QC checks on models and drawings.
• Resolve modeling conflicts and detailing issues.
• Manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with technical lead on workload management.
• Participate in process improvement and BIM workflow optimization.
• Adhere to company ethics, quality standards, and values.
