Job summary

Brown and Caldwell seeks a Revit Family Creation professional to develop BIM models and manage digital representations of buildings and sites using BIM software. The role requires performing complex technical support and creating BIM execution plans with limited supervision.

You will coordinate with engineers and architects, produce detailed 3D models in Revit, AutoCAD and Navisworks, and extract 2D drawings for construction documentation while adapting to evolving project needs.

Qualifications

• Four+ years of BIM, construction, architecture, or related experience.
• Associate degree or equivalent in drafting/design or related field required.
• Experience developing BIM Execution Plans and coordinating BIM projects.

Job description

The Revit Family Creation role performs complex technical support and manual tasks. The role requires well-developed skills, either through formal training or on-the-job experience. This role will create and manage digital representations of physical and functional characteristics of places, buildings, and structures using Building Information Modeling (BIM) software. This role operates with limited supervision and shows a high degree of independent judgment and initiative. There is a limited decision-making scope given the responsibilities assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex technical support or production/manual tasks.
• Develop Building Information Modeling (BIM)executionplans.
• Enforcestandards management on projects.
• Conduct BIM coordination meetings.
• Organizedrawing sets and coordinating sheet index management.
• Developdiscipline models and managing shared coordinates.
• Create detailed 3D models using BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD,and Navisworks.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to gather all necessary information to create accurate models.
• Update and modify models as per revised plans and specifications.
• Generate and extract 2D drawings and details from the 3D models for construction documentation.
• Coordinateexisting condition/ LiDARmodel.
• Flexibility to adapt and execute various additional assignments based on evolving needs.

Mentorship

• May provide mentorship, guidance, support, and knowledge-sharing to help less experienced team members develop their skills and grow within their roles.

Skills and Competencies

• Proficiency in BIM software and execution plan development.
• Skilledin enforcing project standards and managing shared coordinates.
• Skilledin conducting BIM coordination meetings and managing discipline model setup.
• Strongcapabilitywith organizing drawing sets and coordinating existing condition/Lidar models.
• Ability to effectively organize drawing sets and manage sheet indexes.
• Strong familiarityand understanding ofshared coordinates system and existing condition/LiDARmodel coordination.
• Strong abilityin utilizing software applications such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Advanced ability to performdata modeling andutilizevisualization toolseffectively.
• Strong understandingofbuilding systems, design principles, and construction workflows.
• Strong oral and written communication skills for giving presentations and writing technical documents.
• Advanced proficiencyin complex BIM tasks and contributing to project outcomes.
• Strong proficiencyin developing BIM Execution Plans.

Experience

• Typically requires a minimum of4years of building information modeling, construction, architecture, or other related professional experience.

Education

• An associate’s degree in drafting & design, architecture technologies, civil technologies, construction management technologies, or other closely related field or equivalent experience is required.

Salary Range: Theanticipatedstarting payrange for this position is based on the employee’s primary work location and maybemore or lessdependingupon skills, experience,and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Location A: $30.70 - $41.90
Location B: $34.10 - $46.20
