Job Title: Revit DesignerJob Description

The Revit Designer will create detailed module drawings for fast fulfillment stations that support grocery and quick-moving consumer items in rural areas. This role focuses on designing smaller stations ranging from approximately 5,000 to 10,000 square feet, as well as additional layouts that support future initiatives. The designer will work closely with Design Engineers and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into accurate interior CAD and Revit drawings, ensuring high-quality, complete design packages for grocery delivery stations and other small-format fulfillment sites.

Responsibilities
  • Create detailed module drawings for fast fulfillment stations that support groceries and quick-moving items in rural areas.

  • Design smaller delivery and fulfillment stations, typically between 5,000 and 10,000 square feet, including layouts that support future initiatives.

  • Develop detailed interior CAD and Revit drawings for grocery delivery stations and other small stations for quick-moving items.

  • Work closely with Design Engineers to understand requirements and standards for delivery station layouts and translate them into precise design documents.

  • Collaborate with Design Engineers, CAD drafters, World Wide Engineering (WWE), Pre-Construction, Construction, external architects, material handling equipment (MHE) vendors, and Launch Execution teams to deliver complete and approved design sets.

  • Review and engage with internal and external stakeholders on permit sets, structural drawings, elevations, and floor plans, providing clarification and addressing questions related to design.

  • Support the design quality control process by participating in daily peer reviews, following design checklists and standards, and actively seeking feedback from Design Engineers.

  • Deliver new designs, post-permit design updates, expansions, and retrofits that support associate and driver safety, quality, productivity, and capacity increases for delivery stations.

  • Implement new template designs, process improvements, and safety processes into standard design packages.

  • Manage and prioritize multiple design projects simultaneously and present design concepts and updates to leadership and stakeholders.

  • Prepare and maintain construction documents and design drawings that align with architectural, civil, and construction standards.

  • Use Revit, AutoCAD, and other design tools to produce accurate, detailed, and coordinated drawings for commercial, industrial, manufacturing, or structural environments.

Essential Skills
  • At least 2 years of Revit drafting experience.

  • At least 3 years of project coordination experience.

  • At least 3 years of drafting experience in facility layout, manufacturing design, commercial, industrial, or structural environments.

  • At least 3 years of extensive AutoCAD experience, with a focus on AutoCAD 2018 or later, preferably in architecture, design, civil, construction, or architectural capacities.

  • Strong Revit drafting and design skills, including the ability to produce detailed architectural and interior layouts.

  • Proficiency in architectural floor plans, preferably in large warehouse-type environments or industrial buildings.

  • Experience creating and managing construction documents, design drawings, and drafting packages.

  • Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Bluebeam.

  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to meet deadlines, prioritize workloads, and maintain strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences and stakeholders.

  • Ability to facilitate meetings and present design concepts and project updates to leadership and cross-functional teams.

  • An associate degree or equivalent post-secondary education.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience working with architecture, AutoCAD, CAD, and Revit in professional design environments.

  • Background in architectural design for warehouse, industrial, or large-format facilities.

  • Ability to work across a large number of projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and consistency.

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including engineering, construction, pre-construction, and external architects.

  • Familiarity with design quality control processes, including peer reviews, checklists, and design standards.

  • Experience implementing template designs and process improvements into standard design practices.

  • Comfort working in environments that support grocery delivery and fast-moving consumer goods operations.
