Baltimore County Office of Law seeks an Appraiser to review appraisals and assist in the acquisition and disposal of real property. You will assess appraisals for Federal, State and County projects and help determine equitable compensation.
Requirements include a bachelor's degree in real estate or related field and at least two years of real property appraisal experience. Substitution rules apply; transcripts/certifications must be attached with the application.
Pay Schedule I, Grade 30, 35 hours per week
A vacancy exists in the Office of Law.

Current and future vacancies occurring in any Office or Department of Baltimore County General Government may be filled from the list of eligible applicants.

Under general supervision, reviews appraisals to ascertain equitable property prices and values for the purpose of the acquisition and disposal of real property; and does related work as required.

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree, preferably with courses in real estate, economics, property law, business or public administration, or a closely related field
PLUS
two years' experience in real property appraisal.
(Qualifying education may be substituted for the required experience on a year for year basis up to a maximum of two years. Qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis up to a maximum of four years.)
Possession of a valid license to legally operate any class of vehicle or equipment necessary to perform the duties of the position is required at the time of appointment.
Some positions may require certification as a Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser by the State of Maryland Commission of Real Estate Appraisers and Home Inspectors.
All licenses and certifications must be maintained throughout employment.
