Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in real estate, economics, property law, business, public administration, or a closely related field.
• Strong knowledge of appraisal practices and property values.
• Familiarity with eminent domain and land use planning.

Responsibilities

• Review appraisals to ascertain equitable property prices for acquisition and disposal of real property.
• Review and analyze staff and fee appraisals and takings furnished by property owners.
• Analyze engineering information and inspect properties to estimate number of appraisals, costs, and land values.
• Recommend just compensation for acquisition and disposal of real property.
• Prepare appraisals and cost estimates for rights-of-way.
• Consult with County, Federal, and State appraisal personnel on procedures and policies.
