AEITS, Inc. in Hanover, MD is seeking a Software Reverse Engineer, Level 1 to join our on-site team. You will design, code, and debug software under tight constraints while communicating methodologies to stakeholders.

Active Top Secret SCI clearance with polygraph is required. A BS in CS/Engineering plus 7 years of experience and expertise in Python, C, or C++, with Windows and UNIX environments is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of software engineering experience in programs of similar scope and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Expert-level command of Python, C, or C++.
• Experience developing for Windows and UNIX environments, including shell scripting and automation.

Responsibilities

• Full-Lifecycle Development: design, code, and debug applications and explain methodologies to stakeholders.
• Data & Performance: manage large-scale datasets, implement advanced algorithms, optimize systems.
• Testing & Quality: develop and execute unit, integration, and regression tests.
• DevOps Integration: experience with CI/CD pipelines and containers (Docker, Ansible, Jenkins, Bamboo).

Location: Hanover, MD

All work is on-site. This is not a hybrid or remote position.

Mission: Ability to deliver high-quality code under strict resource and time performance constraints.

Clearance: Active Top Secret SCI with appropriate polygraph.

Certifications: None.

Core Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in software engineering within programs of similar scope and complexity.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (equivalent professional experience may be considered).
• Technical Proficiency: Expert-level command of at least one major language: Python, C, C++.
• Environment: Proven track record developing for both Windows and UNIX environments, including shell scripting and automation.

Technical Responsibilities:

• Full-Lifecycle Development: Design, code, and debug applications while articulating the underlying methodologies to stakeholders.
• Data & Performance: Experience managing large-scale datasets, implementing advanced algorithms, and performing deep-level system optimization.
• Testing & Quality: Develop and execute comprehensive test procedures, including Unit, Integration, and Regression testing.
• DevOps Integration: Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Ansible, Jenkins, or Bamboo).

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in Front End development.
• Ability to deliver high-quality code under strict resource and performance constraints.
