Job summary

Apogee Engineering, LLC is seeking a Tools & Techniques Research Engineer to provide research support across software, hardware, and complex devices for FME, including reverse engineering and AI/ML integration. The role requires TS/SCI clearance and US citizenship, with on-site work at Wright-Patterson AFB, Dayton, OH.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in science or engineering.
• Strong engineering and software development background.
• Experience in FME or related exploitation domains.
• Hands-on use of multiple RE tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform reverse engineering using standard FME workflows and tools (e.g., Ghidra).
• Evaluate, test, and integrate ML models and LLMs into engineering workflows.
• Use Git/GitLab and CI/CD pipelines to package and deploy software updates.
• Support networks at different classification levels.
• Develop systems architecture docs and integration plans for multi-classification environments.
• Provide technical recommendations on cross-domain solutions and security requirements.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity teams to ensure DoD/IC compliance.
• Support the Authority to Operate (ATO) for cross-domain solutions.
