Job summary

Weeghman & Briggs seeks a mission-driven Reverse Engineer 2 to support critical government initiatives in Annapolis Junction, MD. The role requires active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance and full-time onsite employment.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.
  • Experience supporting government or DoD programs is required.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Doctoral degree + 2 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Master's degree + 3 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree + 5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Associate’s degree + 7 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Relevant experience must be in malware reverse engineering.
  • CISSP, GIAC GREM, or CREA certification is required.
  • Information Assurance Certification may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Support mission-critical programs in secure government environments.
  • Analyze requirements and translate them into actionable solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results.
  • Ensure compliance with contract and security standards.
  • Perform technical analysis of malicious binaries via controlled execution and/or static analysis to identify functionality and indicators of compromise.
  • Provide information and documentation that enables malware detection, signature creation, and mitigation.

What You'll Do
  • Support mission-critical programs in secure government environments

  • Contribute ideas to improve processes, efficiency, and performancePerform technical analysis of malicious binaries through controlled execution and/or static analysis of assembly code, overcoming techniques designed to defeat analysis, in order to ascertain functionality, capability, call-backs, assist with attribution to adversary infrastructure, and identification of indicators of compromise.
  • Provide information and documentation that enables malware detection, signature creation, and mitigation

Compensation & Benefits

The projected salary range for this position is $148,700-$165,300, dependent upon experience, qualifications, and contract requirements.
