Job summary

Weeghman & Briggs, LLC in Annapolis Junction, MD is seeking a mission-driven Reverse Engineer 2 to support critical government initiatives. This on-site role focuses on malware reverse engineering, secure analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
  • Experience supporting government or DoD programs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Doctoral degree plus 2 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 3 years, or Bachelor's degree with 5 years, or Associate degree with 7 years.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline.
  • Relevant malware reverse engineering experience.
  • CISSP, GIAC GREM, or CREA Certification is required.

Responsibilities

  • Support mission-critical programs in secure government environments.
  • Analyze requirements and translate them into actionable solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results.
  • Ensure compliance with contract and security standards.
  • Contribute ideas to improve processes, efficiency, and performance.
  • Perform technical analysis of malicious binaries through controlled execution and/or static analysis of assembly code, overcoming techniques designed to defeat analysis, in order to ascertain functionality, capability, call-backs, assist with attribution to adversary infrastructure, and identification of indicators of compromise.
  • Provide information and documentation that enables malware detection, signature creation, and mitigation.

What You'll Do

What You Bring

  • Master\'s degree with 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor\'s Degree with 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Associates degree with 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Relevant experience must be in malware reverse engineering.
  • CISSP, GIAC GREM, or CREA Certification is required.
  • Information Assurance Certification may be required

  • Agile, cloud, or modernization experience
  • Background in process improvement or analytical services
Compensation & Benefits

The projected salary range for this position is $148,700-$165,300, dependent upon experience, qualifications, and contract requirements.
