Job summary

Autodesk is seeking a Senior Revenue Analyst to lead U.S. GAAP revenue recognition initiatives during a back-office transformation. You will partner with Revenue Accounting, Controllership, and IT to implement new processes and controls, support UAT, and guide the organization through ASC 606 changes.

You will play a key role in knowledge transfer, training, and the rollout of new system flows across the company, while maintaining strong business acumen and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• Excellent business acumen with ability to deal with ambiguity.
• Effective communication skills and ability to understand and present data.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment across all organizations as well as independently.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, with a focus on revenue recognition.
• CPA certification or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience working with RAR, SAP, and/or Business Objects or other relevant systems.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Experience in software or SaaS industry.
• Excellent quantitative, analytical and data mining skills.
• Enthusiastic and creative with the ability to inspire, influence and encourage others, in both relationships with customers and peers.

Responsibilities

• Attend meetings to discuss and document project requirements as they pertain to U.S. GAAP, with a focus on Revenue Recognition.
• Work closely with your manager to understand operational capabilities and feasibilities of proposals presented.
• Perform UAT as well as track and resolve any issues discovered during UAT.
• Implement and document processes and procedures as required including SOX compliance and internal controls.
• Evaluate accounting implications and confirm we can operationally support operational changes under the provisions of ASC 606.
• Provide accounting guidance to project team and developers.
• Support broader team in training efforts and overall transition to the new business models and system flows.
