Job summary

The Office of the Iowa Attorney General seeks an attorney to join the Revenue Section to represent the Iowa Department of Revenue before courts and administrative tribunals and to provide legal advice on agency operations.

The ideal candidate has a license to practice law in Iowa (or ability to obtain one), strong skills in statutory construction, administrative law, and legal writing, and is committed to public service with a focus on work-life balance and compliance.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in statutory construction, administrative law, and legal writing.
• Ability to provide written and oral advice to agency staff.
• Probate experience preferred.
• License to practice law in Iowa or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Iowa Department of Revenue before courts and administrative tribunals.
