The Office of the Iowa Attorney General is seeking an attorney to serve in the Revenue Section. The incumbent will represent the Iowa Department of Revenue before courts and tribunals and provide legal guidance to the agency on operational matters.
Candidates must be licensed to practice in Iowa (or able to obtain) and demonstrate expertise in statutory construction, administrative law, and legal writing, with a preference for probate experience and a strong public service orientation.
This is a non-merit position.
Attorneys in the Revenue Section represent the Iowa Department of Revenue before courts and administrative tribunals and provide legal advice to the agency on matters related to its operations.
Candidates must have a passion for public service and possess exceptional skills in statutory construction, administrative law, legal writing, and providing written and oral advice to agency staff. Probate experience preferred. This position requires a license, or the ability to obtain a license, to practice law in Iowa.
