Job summary

The Office of the Iowa Attorney General is seeking an attorney to serve in the Revenue Section. The incumbent will represent the Iowa Department of Revenue before courts and tribunals and provide legal guidance to the agency on operational matters.

Candidates must be licensed to practice in Iowa (or able to obtain) and demonstrate expertise in statutory construction, administrative law, and legal writing, with a preference for probate experience and a strong public service orientation.

Qualifications

• Must have passion for public service and be licensed to practice law in Iowa (or able to obtain license).
• Excellent skills in statutory construction and administrative law.
• Strong legal writing and ability to provide written and oral advice to agency staff.
• Probate experience preferred.
