Job summary

The State of Iowa - Office of the Attorney General is seeking an attorney to join the Revenue Section in Des Moines. The attorney will represent the Iowa Department of Revenue before courts and administrative tribunals and provide legal advice to the agency on its operations.

Candidates must be licensed to practice law in Iowa or able to obtain licensure, and should possess strong skills in statutory construction, administrative law, and legal writing. Probate experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have passion for public service and excellent skills in statutory construction, administrative law, legal writing, and providing written and oral advice to agency staff.
• Probate experience preferred.
• Requires a license, or ability to obtain a license, to practice law in Iowa.
