Job summary

Intuit's Accounting organization is seeking a Revenue Recognition Lead for the Consumer Group in San Diego, CA. As an individual contributor, you will partner with marketers, product managers, Finance, and IT to translate business strategy into revenue guidance and ensure accurate revenue accounting.

You will develop and enforce ASC 606 policy, perform technical research, lead cross-functional initiatives, and train leaders while ensuring GAAP compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting; CPA required.
• 7+ years post-graduate experience in revenue recognition.
• Strong end-to-end process orientation with analytical thinking and project management.
• Ability to influence cross-functionally and at all levels of management.
• Excellent written and verbal communications and presentation skills.
• Working knowledge of Oracle R12, Siebel/BRM, RevStream, and QlikSense a plus.

Responsibilities

• Understand end-to-end operational, financial, and systemic processes that drive impacts and strategy for revenue recognition.
• Develop, maintain, and enforce ASC 606 revenue policy; stay aligned with business strategy.
• Perform technical accounting research and articulate viewpoints clearly.
• Stay current on FASB/SEC updates and apply to policy.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration and build relationships with Accounting, Finance, and business units.
• Develop training programs and deliver training to leaders across functions.
• Ensure proper revenue accounting for all offerings and substantiate related accounts.
• Streamline systems and reporting tools to improve revenue recording.
