Job Description

STV is seeking a Revenue Recognition and Technical Director/Assistant Controller to join our accounting team. This role is designated as hybrid (3 days in-office per week) and can be located in one of the following STV offices: New York, NY; Charlotte, NC; or Douglassville, PA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and drive appropriate revenue recognition across the firm's portfolio of projects.
• Lead the design, building, testing, and deployment of revenue recognition solutions, ensuring seamless integration into business operations.
• Perform technical accounting research, analysis, and documentation for areas including revenue recognition, share-based compensation, derivatives, goodwill impairment, debt or other financing transactions.
• Review purchase price allocations for acquisitions.
• Perform annual impairment analyses of intangibles and goodwill.
• Coordinate with external auditors to support year-end audits and quarterly filings.
• Monitor and report key revenue tracking metrics and review findings with management.
• Stay updated on FASB and SEC developments to assess the impact of new guidance and manage related implementation.
• Assist with special projects and prepare analyses for senior management requiring technical accounting research.
• Support process improvement initiatives within the accounting department.

Qualifications:

• BS/BA degree in Accounting; CPA required.
• 8+ years of technical accounting experience, preferably with a Big 4 firm.
• Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, ethical, and committed to quality.
• Experience in the AEC industry preferred.

Compensation Range:

$119,737.23 - $159,649.65
