Ottawa County Treasurer’s Office is seeking a full-time Accounting/Tax staff member in West Olive, MI. You will handle cashiering, tax and revenue processing, and title research, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.

You will manage the animal licensing program and assist with ledger reconciliations and audit preparation. Two-year college-equivalent education plus three years in fund accounting is required; associate degree in Accounting preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting or closely related field with 3 years in fund accounting.
• Experience with cash handling, cash accounting, and reconciliation.
• Knowledge of parcel data, deeds, titles, and related investigations.
• Understanding of general ledger, fund accounting, and government finance.

Responsabilités

• Process payments in-person, over the phone, and online with accuracy.
• Research deeds and title data; verify descriptions and ownership.
• Manage animal licensing operations with local partners and agencies.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts; prepare journal entries for amendments.
• Post/deliver payments and notices; support audits and reporting.
