Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work safely and follow safety rules.
• Knowledge of service areas and basic electricity is a plus.
• Meet company standards for conduct, attendance and performance.
• Ability to lift and carry more than 25 pounds.
• Accurate data entry and record-keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of duties to encourage the collection of delinquent accounts.
• Adhere to all safety rules and guidelines as established by the company.
• Communicate with customers about delinquent balances and payment arrangements.
• Refer customers to CARES representatives for counseling and programs.
• Balance daily customer transactions and adhere to cash handling procedures.
• Verify data on checks and stubs; forward forms for processing.
• Inform supervision of adverse safety conditions regarding meters and equipment.
• Train and instruct other employees as required.
• Operate transportation equipment during emergencies or as needed.
• Work across multiple districts and non-standard hours to maximize collections.
