Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Collect, organize, and analyze revenue data from multiple systems.
• Accurately enter revenue-related data into the appropriate systems.
• Track cash collections and apply payments to specific invoices.
• Leverage revenue dashboards to ensure invoicing and payments are complete.
• Support revenue recognition activities in line with ASC 606 and policies.
• Review data for accuracy, identify discrepancies, and escalate as needed.
• Assist with preparing recurring revenue reports, dashboards, and KPIs.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Assist with audit requests by preparing documentation and responses.
• Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Operations, and IT on reporting.
• Document reporting processes, data definitions, and SOPs.
• Reconcile data between ERP, billing platforms, and reporting tools.
• Prepare ad hoc reports and analyses for Finance and leaders.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy and consistency.
• Support system implementations and continuous process improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned and become a subject matter expert.

Job description

We areseekinga detail-oriented and analytically driven Revenue Accountant II to support the Revenue Operations team. This role willassistwith calculating revenue, applying cash payments to invoices, reconciling data across systems, andgenerally maintainingthe integrity between the subledger and general ledger.

The ideal candidate is highly data-savvy, comfortable working with large datasets, and experienced in translating billing and operational data intoaccuratefinancial entries. This role will report to the Director of Revenue and partner closely with Accounting, FP&A, Power Markets, and external billing providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, organize, and analyze revenue-related data from multiple systems.
• Accurately enter revenue-related data into theappropriate systems.
• Track cash collections and apply payments to specific invoices.
• Leverage revenue dashboards to ensure all invoices have been generated, and all payments have been applied.
• Support revenue recognition activitiesin accordance withASC 606 and company accounting policies.
• Review revenue data for completeness and accuracy,identifydiscrepancies, and elevate issues as needed.
• Assistwith preparing recurring revenue reports, dashboards, and key performance metrics.
• Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, including the preparation of journal entries and supporting schedules, as well as through data validation and reconciliations.
• Support internal and external audit requests by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Accounting, Operations, and IT, to support reporting initiatives.
• Assistin documenting reporting processes, data definitions, and standard operating procedures.
• Assistwith reconciling data between ERP systems, billing platforms, and reporting tools.
• Prepare ad hoc reports and analyses to support Finance, Revenue Accounting, and business leaders.
• Helpmaintaindata integrity byidentifyingopportunities to improve reporting accuracy and consistency.
• Support system implementations, reporting enhancements, and continuous process improvement projects.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
• Become a subject matter expert and work to continuously improve processes.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Economics, Information Systems, Mathematics, ora related field.
• Twotofour(2-4) years of experience in data analytics, finance, accounting, business intelligence, ora relatedfield.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiencyin Microsoft Excel, including formulas, PivotTables, and data analysis functions.
• Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred

• Internship or co-op experience in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or Business Analytics.
• Basic knowledge of SQL or experience queryingdatabases.
• Exposure to ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Interestin financial reporting, revenue analytics, and data visualization.
• Experience in the renewable energy, utilities, or infrastructure industry is a plus.

Experience
