Job description

Were currently looking for Revenue Manager - Gurugram


We are seeking a skilled and professional individual for the role of Revenue Manager. Reporting to the Senior Revenue Manager in India, this position plays a critical and highly visible role in process design, implementation, documentation, and accurate recording of revenue. The Revenue Manager owns all accounting aspects of revenue recognition and must understand, analyze, and communicate financial impacts related to revenue across the organization.


Top 3 Skills:

  • Hands-on experience working remotely with cross-functional teams (Sales, Legal, Operations, Deal Desk, etc.) to review revenue deal structures and coordinate with the Revenue team at the head office.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end processes (including design, implementation, or testing) of the order-to-cash process in mid to large-sized public companies.
  • Experience handling large volumes of data and applying data analytics in close processes or public accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with global partners, Sales, Legal, and Business teams to review and evaluate draft contracts for revenue recognition.
  • Develop a team to assess the impact of contracts on revenue recognition.
  • Provide technical accounting guidance and support to the onsite team for recurring revenue close tasks to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Evaluate customer contracts to ensure accurate revenue recognition in compliance with accounting standards.
  • Assist with technical accounting issues on special projects.
  • Participate in designing and implementing new revenue accounting requirements under ASC 606.
  • Maintain strong internal controls over revenue transactions and reporting.
  • Recommend process and report improvements to increase productivity and accuracy.
  • Manage month-end and quarter-end revenue close processes, including reconciliations and fluctuation analysis.
  • Prepare data and documentation for audits and external reviews.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience with Big 4 accounting firms and CA/CPA qualification preferred.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in a public company environment.
  • Experience reviewing and analyzing License, SaaS, OEM, and Professional Services contracts for revenue-related issues.
  • Knowledge of GAAP multi-element revenue recognition standards including ASC 605-25, SAB 104, ASU 2009-13, and ASU 2009-14.
  • Working knowledge of ASC 606 and ERP system implementation (a plus).
  • Experience with SFDC and NetSuite (a plus).
  • Proven success in process improvement initiatives.
  • Solutions-oriented team player who thrives in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience in SaaS or telecom industries is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
