Job summary

Chesapeake Regional Healthcare seeks an experienced leader to oversee Revenue Integrity, including charge capture, coding compliance, and revenue analysis. This role partners with departments to optimize billing practices and ensure documentation integrity.

The Manager, Revenue Integrity will supervise the Revenue Integrity/CDM team, drive audits, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer regulations while maintaining high productivity and accuracy.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of management experience within Revenue Cycle, Acute Care, or Health Information Management.
• 5+ years of revenue analysis, charging, auditing, or coding in an acute care setting.
• Bachelor's Degree required; 4 additional years of related experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
• CPC credential within 6 months of hire for nursing or other disciplines.
• Nursing degree candidates must maintain an active/unrestricted nursing license or obtain CPC within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision to Revenue Integrity and/or CDM team.
• Collaborate with providers, coders, and billers to ensure compliant documentation and optimal coding.
• Partner with clinical providers to improve documentation quality and accuracy for compliant billing.
• Conduct routine internal audits and chart reviews to monitor accuracy and identify corrective actions.
• Maintain knowledge of coding regulations and update workflows for compliance.
• Monitor productivity, accuracy, and quality metrics; implement performance improvement plans.
• Review high-volume accounts for charge review and entry, including observation and carve-out reviews.
• Analyze inpatient and outpatient records for charging, coding reviews, and denials.
• Serve as a resource on charging questions, audits, and educational opportunities.
