Job summary

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a Compliance Analyst III for Provider Billing and Coding. This role conducts advanced audits of professional billing and coding, reviews medical records, and evaluates compliance with federal/state requirements and institutional policies.

A hybrid schedule requires two days in the office weekly with additional on-site as needed. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least five years of experience in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in business or healthcare administration, regulatory compliance, consulting, project management, or related area
• 5 years of professional experience in a compliance-related field.

Responsibilities

• Serves as team leader and project manager while conducting complex assurance/effectiveness reviews or other department projects, including goals, timelines and quality measures.
• Conducts complex assurance/effectiveness reviews of compliance activities according to standards and policies.
• Evaluates effectiveness of compliance controls and adherence to university policies and procedures.
• Prepares compliance reports with supporting evidence and defends findings and recommendations.
• Assists in investigations of breaches of policy or non-compliance to determine cause and prevention strategies.
• Maintains relationships with compliance personnel to achieve objectives of assurance-related assignments.
