Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX is seeking a Revenue Integrity Educator II to develop and deliver education on coding, billing and compliance. The role includes pre-bill reviews, onboarding education for physicians and providers, and ongoing documentation audits to promote accurate reimbursement.

The ideal candidate has about five years in professional billing with emphasis on coding and compliance, plus CPC/CCS/CMC credentials upon hire.

Qualifications

• 5 years experience in a professional billing environment with emphasis on coding, auditing and compliance responsibilities
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred
• Licenses/Certifications include CPC, CCS, CMC (upon hire) or CPMA (upon hire)

Responsibilities

• Develop and conduct individual or group presentations on coding, billing and compliance topics
• Perform pre-bill reviews and post-onboarding reviews to ensure proper coding and documentation
• Research coding, documentation and reimbursement policy questions submitted by physicians or departments
• Conduct education for new providers across multiple service lines
• Perform ongoing reviews of medical record documentation to support compliant coding
