Job summary

Qualifications include CPT/HCPCS expertise, EPIC EMR experience, and AHIMA/AAPC certification with at least two years in hospital coding edits.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• AAPC or AHIMA certification required.
• Two years minimum hospital coding edits experience.
• Epic EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and resolve charge capture, coding, and revenue integrity check workqueues in Epic.
• Provide expert guidance on CPT, HCPCS, and revenue codes for compliance.
• Identify documentation issues with clinical staff to support accurate coding and reimbursement.
• Communicate billing issues to management with clear, actionable details.
• Make independent charge adjustment decisions and advise on potential billing problems.
