Job summary

Illinois Bone and Joint Institute, LLC is seeking a Manager, Coding, Revenue Integrity and Provider Engagement to lead professional coding operations and drive consistent coding standards across the organization. The role partners with physicians and revenue cycle teams to improve reimbursement and implement education programs.

The position requires strong leadership, certification in coding, and extensive experience in revenue cycle and coding integrity within a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, health information management, business, or related field.
• Professional coding certification such as CPC, CCS-P, CCS, or equivalent required.
• Significant experience in professional coding, revenue cycle, revenue integrity, coding compliance, or related healthcare field, with leadership responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for professional coding operations, coding quality, standards, and workflow across IBJI.
• Establish standardized coding practices aligned with CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, CMS, NCCI, payer requirements.
• Oversee outsourced coding services, including SLAs, turnaround times, quality, and escalation processes.
• Partner with coding supervisors and vendors to maintain workflow and timely charge submission.
• Analyze coding denials to identify trends, root causes, and education opportunities.
• Identify opportunities for revenue capture while maintaining compliant coding practices.
• Collaborate with Epic and Revenue Cycle teams to prevent recurring coding and charge capture issues.
• Develop and maintain coding policies, procedures, reference materials, and standardized workflows.
