Responsibilities

• Analyze, post and correct hospital charges in the change entry unit.
• Enter CPT/HCPCS charges into the patient accounting system.
• Ensure charges match primary/secondary procedures and scheduling.
• Identify charge corrections and remove hold indicators as needed.
• Review accounts for date/quantity discrepancies and charge completeness.
• Notify billers of corrections and re-bills via email or abstracts.
• Run Crystal and Paragon reports as needed.
• Access EMR for billing information.
