Job summary

United WestLabs in Santa Ana, CA is seeking an Account Analyst Supervisor to lead a team of Account Analysts focused on denial management, insurance follow-up, AR resolution, and appeals. The role aims to maximize reimbursement and reduce write-offs while aligning with Billing Problem Resolution, Compliance, and IT.

The supervisor will train staff, monitor KPIs, develop training, and drive process improvements through collaboration with operations and clients.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; Bachelor's preferred.
• 5+ years in healthcare revenue cycle.
• 2+ years supervisory/leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of medical billing, claims processing, denial management and appeals.
• Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, commercial payers, eligibility, COB, and medical necessity.
• Advanced analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with revenue cycle systems and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate Account Analysts.
• Monitor KPIs and prioritize work queues.
• Oversee denial management, insurance follow-up, and appeals.
• Monitor aging AR and recovery efforts; assist high-dollar claims.
• Analyze denial trends; develop dashboards and reports.
• Collaborate with Compliance, IT, and Operations to improve processes.
• Support workflow automation and new payer requirements.
