Revenue Cycle Specialist II - Professional Billing

Are you looking for a rewarding career? We’re seeking a qualified Revenue Cycle Specialist to join our Texas Health Resources family.

Work Hours/Location: Fully remote role, Monday to Friday, 8-5 or 8-4:30.

What You Will Do:
  • Expedite and maximize payment and resolution of insurance medical claims by resolving edits, denials, and payment issues promptly
  • Document clear, concise, and complete follow-up notes in the system for each account
  • Ensure accounts are completed and worked at a high quality level using HRO tools and monitoring output
  • Identify, analyze, and escalate trends impacting AR collections
  • Exceed established productivity goals
  • Complete special projects to improve team performance
  • Demonstrate expertise with all payors, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payors, and revenue cycle operations
  • Protect private health and personal information, adhering to HIPAA requirements
  • Participate in educational activities and team meetings
  • Stay current on collection and follow-up procedures across payors and departments
  • Assist with training and support for team members as advised by leadership
  • Demonstrate strong technical skills and account resolution abilities
Minimum Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Associate's Degree in Business or healthcare-related field preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in PB AR management, insurance follow-up, insurance billing, or relevant revenue cycle experience.

Skills: Strong work ethic, professionalism, understanding of health insurance billing, proficient in computer and EMR systems, excellent communication and organizational skills, knowledge of HIPAA and related regulations, familiarity with EMR functionalities including Epic Care Connect (certifications a plus), dependable, self-starter, deadline-driven, and capable of working independently and in teams.

Additional Details: Individual contributor role, working indoors predominantly (67% or more), sedentary physical demands.
