Job summary

Henry Ford Hospital – Detroit Main Campus is seeking a Senior Revenue Cycle Manager to oversee day-to-day administrative and operational functions across billing, registration and insurance verification. The role focuses on coordinating with ATMO, DEM, Clinic and OR to ensure proper reimbursement and efficient front-end processes for inpatient and ambulatory encounters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five (5) years of revenue cycle experience including billing, registration/insurance verification, and point-of-service collection.
• Comprehensive knowledge of revenue cycle processes.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, Access, Windows, and Internet.
• Ability to analyze reports and organize priorities; strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interact with leadership, staff, patients and visitors from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day administrative & operational functions of the revenue cycle under supervision of multidisciplinary staff.
• Coordinate with revenue cycle departments to ensure reimbursement aligns with clinical needs.
• Lead complex process improvement projects across the System.
• Manage receivables for inpatient Medicaid applications and insurance rejections.
• Plan and direct daily operations for securing authorizations, COB, and charity care.
• Assist VP in budgeting and resource recommendations; ensure adherence to guidelines.
• Track and trend billing rejections to develop improvement strategies for EC2000 and ambulatory billing.
• Review patient accounts and authorize late charges per reimbursement guidelines.
• Develop and implement cash collection policies for all procedures.
