Job summary

Midwestern University is seeking a Manager of Patient Accounts in Illinois to lead the revenue cycle for the Downers Grove clinics. You will oversee registration, billing, collections, and staff development, ensuring compliance with payer contracts and federal/state regulations.

The role reports to the Assistant Director of Patient Accounts and requires strong analytical and leadership capabilities to optimize reimbursement and drive customer service excellence across MWU clinics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5-7 years of revenue cycle experience in an integrated clinic environment.
• 5-7 years of previous management experience.
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD9/ICD10, HCPCS codes and CMS 1500 claim form.
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical abilities are required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinic patient accounts including scheduling, registration, cashiering, billing and collections.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and payer requirements; monitor HIPAA and HiTech compliance.
• Lead recruitment, training, and evaluation of patient account staff.
• Develop budgets, implement policy changes, and monitor month-end financial reporting.
