Job summary

The Children’s Institute of Pittsburgh seeks a Director of Patient Accounting to lead the revenue cycle from insurance verification to claim liquidation, ensuring compliant, efficient processes onsite in Pittsburgh. You will guide a patient-centered team and leverage analytics and AI-enabled tools to optimize performance.

You will collaborate with the CFO, program leadership, and clinical staff to enhance collections, streamline workflows, and maintain strict confidentiality and regulatory

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Business Administration or Finance required.
• Minimum 5 years of management experience in a revenue cycle environment.
• Thorough understanding of the full Revenue Cycle and current industry standards.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and potential EMR implementation.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to recruit, develop, retain, and engage high-performing teams.
• Clearances: FBI, Criminal Clearance, and Child Abuse Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the revenue cycle from insurance verification through claim liquidation.
• Collaborate with CFO, clinical leadership, and program staff to optimize processes.
• Maintain knowledge of coding, regulations, and payer requirements across payors.
• Provide guidance on coding changes, reimbursement opportunities, and billing guidelines.
• Report and discuss AR status in monthly reviews with leadership.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality in all activities.
• Drive cash collections and collaboration with the CFO on contracts and budgeting.
