Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Five years' experience in a hospital/medical and/or related field.
• Working knowledge Epic Resolute, Epic Cer, and Epic CPOE and reporting.
• Working knowledge of MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Acts as account representative for Hoag with insurance payors and patients for payment resolution.
• Completes assigned accounts within work queues.
• Maximizes reimbursement by evaluating contracts and pricing.
• Initiates initial appeal for underpayments with timely requirements.
• Reviews payor/patient correspondence promptly and escalates when needed.
• Understands Revenue Cycle from Patient Access through Financial Services.
